This is a regular bee on a spring onion flower in the afternoon sun. Many pictures were taken to try and capture the harmony between the bee and the light. The harmony was captured in this one shot.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes. The lighting and the way it reflects upon the bee's wings is truly lovely...
AMAZING detail! What type of lens do you have? Must have a really nice micro - I want to get one so bad, but then I'd prob only use it every now and then.
Anyway - I also love the DOF... draws your eyes right to the subject.
